Center Introduction
In May 2012, Beijing Engineering Research Center of Protein and Functional Peptides (BERCPFP) was founded approved by Science and Technology Commission of Beijing Municipality and supported by China National Research Institute of Food & Fermentation Industries (CNRIFFI), Beijing Tongrentang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and China CF Haishi (Beijing) Biotech Co., Ltd.. BERCPFP is the first technological innovation platform of protein and functional peptides in China, and comprises New Products r&d Center of Functional Peptide, Fundamental Research Center of Functional Peptide, and Nutrition Support and Evaluation Center of Functional Peptide. BERCPFP provides comprehensive and systematic service, including fundamental research, technology and engineering research, products development, functional study, functional components isolation and identification, and nutrition support and evaluation.
Overall Goals
BERCPFP is aimed at building a platform of deep processing and high-valued utilizing of natural protein resources, which services multiple industries such as farming industry, food industry, health industry and traditional Chinese medicine industry. The research fields include comprehensive utilization of natural protein resources, development of food-origin oligopeptides, in vitro functional assessment, structure identification of functional components, exploitation of peptide terminal products, research of industrialized production technology, and establishment of product technical standard. The overall goals of BERCPFP are achieving high-valued use of agriculture and forestry resources, and upgrading and updating of nutritional healthy food.
Development Concept
BERCPFP strengthens the cooperation of CNRIFFI and the other tow supporting companies, for deepening innovation system construction of production, science and technology. Oriented by national and Beijing medium and long-term science and technology development planning and domestic and foreign markets, BERCPFP devotes to resolve key, fundamental and common problems. Based on the domestic industry needs and following the international science forward, BERCPFP is applying itself to research and develop scientific and technological achievements which have industrialization value and international advancement. BERCPFP is committed to promoting technological innovation of agriculture and forestry processing industry, food industry, health industry, and traditional Chinese medicine industry, and propelling the development of protein functional peptide new industries.
Running Achievement
BERCPFP has completed standard-setting of “Light Industry Standard of Soy Peptides Powder” and “National Standard of Oligopeptides Powder of Marine Fish”. Corn oligopeptide and wheat oligopeptide of BERCPFP are new resource food approved by the Ministry of Health. In the aspect of industrialization, BERCPFP has multi-strip production lines, which can produce 2500 tons of soy oligopeptide, 1500 tons of marine oligopeptide and corn oligopeptide, 1200 tons of wheat oligopeptide, and 1500 tons of natural fermented fruits and vegetables beverage per year. In basic research, we have established long-term cooperation and communication platform with well-known research institutions such as Harvard University, Tokyo University, Osaka University and Peking University. In regard to the development of the market, BERCPFP has built strategic partnership with large-scale enterprises such as Japanese Food Peptide Institute, Inc. and Perfect China Co., Ltd., and work together to promote the exploration and industrialization of natural functional food. The achievements of BERCPFP have got the support and affirmation of state and local ministries such as Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Beijing Municipal Sciences & Technology Commission. Meantime, BERCPFP is forging ahead in the direction of international platform.
